As an enterprise blockchain startup operating in the EU, we understand first hand the impact the recent coronavirus outbreak has caused.
Since its first announcements back in December 2019 to the current global pandemic that has slowed global economic activity to a halt, COVID-19 will no doubt be a seminal event that defines the 2020’s.
The deluge of fake news and false information that is disseminated through social media can make sourcing accurate information difficult in an already bad situation.
To help cut through the noise, we wanted to put together a list of health related news and academic resources for those in the EU who might be looking for where to find the best information in their region related to COVID-19.
The following is a compilation in no particular order of some of the best COVID related news sources in the European Union.
1. European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control
ECDC is an EU agency aimed at strengthening Europe’s defences against infectious diseases. They have been providing real time news and resources for the EU since the outbreak started and are one of the top outlets for verified public health information for COVID-19 in the European Union. Their facts page, geographical distribution information as well as National information on COVID-19 in particular is one of the best lists of European public health agencies currently available.
2. Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center
